Plasticizing system commissioning

1) The heater of the plasticizing system must be fastened evenly, and the heater and the heated surface shall be evenly and tightly fitted. For mica heater, while fastening, use rubber hammer to tap gently to ensure tight fit, which is conducive to heating evenly and prolonging the service life of heater.

2) Thermocouple probe must have enough spring preload to ensure accurate temperature measurement.

3) Generally, the compression bolt of the die head of the storage cylinder should not be tightened completely, and it can be pressed lightly to leave room for the thermal expansion and cold contraction of the barrel; the axis of the barrel should be kept straight and not bent.

4) Before heating, the cooling water of the barrel and die head must be opened to prevent the blocking of the barrel feeding section and the aging and oil leakage of the oil cylinder seals on the gearbox and die head.

5) A magnetic frame shall be placed in the hopper to prevent iron scraps and sundries from entering the screw, causing damage to the screw and die head parts or blockage of die head flow channel.

6) When the refrigerator starts, it is usually recommended to reduce the extrusion speed and gradually increase the speed after the tube blank is extruded normally from the die mouth.

7) Before the tube blank is extruded from the die mouth normally, the personnel shall not stand in the front of the die head or under the die mouth; when the storage cylinder machine injects materials for the first three times, the personnel shall stay away from the bottom of the die mouth, and the manual injection pressure shall not be too large (generally not more than 5MPa).

8) The automatic injection pressure of the storage cylinder machine should not be too large. The actual time of automatic injection is usually more than 5 seconds. Too fast speed is easy to lead to inaccurate wall thickness tracking and melt fracture.

9) For machines equipped with a wall thickness control system, the wall thickness controller must be started first and operated manually once, and then the extrusion shall be started to prevent the die mouth from completely closing and damaging the parts.
